Date: Tuesday 16 Apr, 2019 - Tuesday 16 Apr, 2019
Time: 06:30 pm - 07:30 pm
Venue: Project Space in Jameel Arts Centre, Jaddaf Waterfront, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Join exhibition curator Laura Metzler in conversation with Zara Mahmood and Tor Seidel about everyday material and their practices in the context of the ongoing exhibition Tashweesh: Material Noise carried out at Maraya Art Centre in collaboration with UAE Unlimited.
Zara Mahmood documented the movement of light on ordinary surfaces, thinking of light as an artist and its impact on the world around us.
Tor Seidel created two pieces that start with natural soap varieties available in the UAE and think of them as an atlas of different communities and memories through scent.
