In this workshop participants will learn how to sculpt masks and create the characters they want by recycling materials.
Age range: 15+ years old.
Macadi Nahhas is a Jordanian Singer and Song Writer who is well known in Jordan and the Arab world in preserving the Arabic and Oriental Folk songs and arts and presenting it to the audience in a contemporary style. Macadi studied Music in at the high conservatoire in Lebanon and through the period she spent in Lebanon she was exposed to other major types of arts like Drama and Theatre. She studied also theatre and she attended several important courses and residencies in Puppetry art which made her obtain a degree as Master puppeteer. She worked with many Puppetry artists and projects in the arab world and Europe. She also created a musical album called Jowwa Al Ahlam which she collaborated later on with Maqam productions in presenting it as a puppet show, where she toured with it in Jordan. She also presented Jordan in a high profile Social puppetry Project in major Jordanian Municipalities with King Abdullah foundation for development. The project was a series of several residencies and workshops which concluded in the graduation of many local talents from small underprivileged towns and cities in Jordan.
Macadi Nahhas’s puppetry workshops and performances are in collaboration with Maqam Productions.
